Hi
I was thinking that would be great if we could group hikashop custom fields and display them in backend in separate sections or tabs like what joomla core does.

In some project there are plenty of custom fields. when all of them are listed below each other its a little confusing.

Hi,

It's actually already possible for custom fields of the table "product".
We worked on that in the past few releases.
When you edit a product in the backend, if you go at the bottom of the page, you'll find a green area where you can click on the "add new block" button to add a new section to the interface.
You can also drag & drop all the blocks of the interface on their title.
And you can also drag & drop each custom field between them, but also from one block to another on their label. And it's actually not limited to custom fields but also to the normal fields of the interface too.

You can read about all this here:

Hi,

What do you see on the product edit interface ? Could you do some screenshots ?

Screenshot attached

I see everything but the green area you mentioned.
I thought it might be because of access control level, but the user in the screenshot is a super administrator

Hi,

I don't see everything at all.
If you check the animated GIF images of the link I gave before, you can see on the top right corner of each block there is an eye icon.
But I don't see it these either on your screenshot.
It's as if you're using an old version of HikaShop.
If you do have the 4.6.1, then either there is a problem with the permissions on some of the files of your website which prevented the Joomla updater from overwritting some of the files of HikaShop ( www.joomlashack.com/blog/joomla/admin-to...nd-file-permissions/ )
Or maybe you have an old view override of the view file product / form (you can check that via the menu Display>Views of HikaShop) for your backend template.
