keyCaptcha implementation in Registration/Checkout

Hello all,

I've got problems getting keyCaptcha working with Hikashop. This is the message sent as a ticket to the keyCaptcha team.

Hello and many thanks for this BEAUTIFUL little tool!

Background :

J1.6.1, Hikashop 1.4.8, Template : Braincode-Grunge,...

Keycaptcha works well for normal Joomla registration as well with yvComments but is problematic (for me) with Hikashop.
Login and Registration work well within Hikashop WITHOUT keyCaptcha

Two things :

1. If the plugin is enabled, keyCaptcha appears at the bottom of the registration/checkout page BELOW shipping and payment -- thus well below the login and/or register buttons. It does work as long as nothing is entered in the shipping and payment zones in-between before clicking on the login or register buttons ABOVE. This is not really user-friendly. I know this has to do with page layout (and thus not a direct keyCaptcha issue) but for the sake of me, I don't know which files to modify to move the keyCaptcha ABOVE the register and login buttons.
[I'd like to understand how keyCaptcha is called in view of modifying page layouts elsewhere]

2. When logout button is pressed during the checkout procedure it gives a "This page is not redirecting properly" in FF and a 404 "Category not found" in Chrome. [which does not occur without keyCaptcha]

I've got the same issues on my local site AND my remote test site .

I noticed the various options available in the plugin but none for Hikashop.

Any guidance appreciated.

If any help can come from this side...

Stephan

Concerning the position of the keycaptcha plugin on the checkout page, it is something handled by keycaptcha so they should be able to help you. One workaround might be to change your checkout workflow option in the config of hikashop so that you get the registration view on its own step, without shipping/payment selection.

For your second problem, You should put a URL in the option "URL where to redirect when the cart is empty" of the tab checkout of the config.

Thank you for looking into this Nicolas (even on Sunday...!),

Regarding the redirection issue, whatever page I put in the "URL where to redirect when the cart is empty" option, I still get the white page. (remember it only happens when keyCaptcha is enabled -- redirection works fine otherwise).

... still investigating...

Then it must be related to keycaptcha indeed.

This 404 error usually happens on joomla 1.6 when you have SEF activated and that a redirect URL does not contain the Itemid parameter. Turning off the SEF in your joomla configuration should avoid the problem.

One should read carefully ToS (Terms of Service) of free online services that are centralized externally

Or, don't be surprised why your and your users personal info data scraped from protected by them resources end up in spammers databases

KeyCAPTCHA.com is banned for fraud and spam in many sites and social networks, check:
on Twitter:

in Joomla::

KeyCAPTCHA does not collect visitors' private information.

The author of the groundless accusations is a technically illiterate person.
Everyone can be convinced of his illiteracy by using FireBug or any other tools which show all outgoing traffic from a browser. KeyCAPTCHA sends just data which are required for CAPTCHA validation process. And it will never be changed.

By now our service doesn't have any financial problems. That is why we are changing the TOS of our paid service "Personolized CAPTCHA" without rush. We are going to launch our "Personolized CAPTCHA" in June. And we won't close our free standard KeyCAPTCHA service.

Looks like that these groundless accusations are planned competitors' action against KeyCAPTCHA because these groundless accusations have been submitted to a few other websites. They used just two nicknames and conducted their action in one day.

If you find groundless accusations like these please contact us via KeyCAPTCHA website.

Thanks in advance,
KeyCAPTCHA Team

Hello,
Has this problem ever been solved?
I'm experiencing the same sort of problem. People cannot login or register through the Hikashop forms with keyCaptcha activated.
I regret that a lot as it was keeping spammers out of our usergroup very nicely!
So. I've deactivated the plugin for now, but I would be very happy with a solution.
Cheers
Ineke

Hi,

Regarding this post: www.hikashop.com/en/forum/2-general-talk...captcha-process.html

It seems to be working. I suggest to contact "igibbins" to see how he configured KeyCaptcha.
