Just checking
the alphauserpoints mod in Hikashop is for use of points, per value assigned, during checkout
it does not assign points per x amount for purchases, to do this I would have to create a rule in alphauserpoint?

No, you can do both with the plugin: assign points to users because they bought something AND/OR have them use their points on the checkout.

For your image question, I'm not sure I understand clearly where you want an image. Could you do a screenshot ?

I have done some testing, using paypal as my payment module
when I purchase and do no
t complete the transaction thru paypal or using a cc the points earned for the purchase within the hikashop checkout does not appear for the user in alphauserpoints, does this only happen after payment is completed (points assignment)?

Yes, the points are only given for an order once the order is confirmed.

For the image, you need to select an image in the "images" option of your AUP payment plugin. If you want to use an image which is not in the list, you need to upload it in the folder media/com_hikashop/images/payment via FTP. Then, you will be able to select it in that images option.

In your prior post you stated that points are only given for an order once the order is confirmed
I appear to be having a prob with this happening, as after a customer has completed their purchase using paypal and the order is confirmed the points are not showing next to the customer's name in AlphaUserPoints User listing.

I am providing a screen shot of my setting for the Hikashop AlphaUserPoints plugin, perhaps I setup something incorrect.

Do you have the rule called "Order_validation" on your alphaUserPoints plugin ? If not, it's likely that you don't have the latest version. If so, please update and make sure that the configuration of the plugin is still ok. Then, go in your AUP rules listing and that rule should be displayed. Then, try again an order.

So it seems that everything is correct. It might be a bug. Could you provide a back end AND FTP access to your website so that we can check on the problem ? (you can use our contact form in order to send the information). If so, the developer who worked on that plugin will look at the problem on monday and fix the situation or the bug if he finds it.

Hi slllc,

We tried on your website and the plugin seems to work when the order is confirmed manually. (You can see in your back-office that a $28 order have been made and so your user account now have 28 points).
But we also saw there was a problem in the plugin when the order was confirmed automatically (we suppose it's the way you used it) so we fixed it and everything should work great now.

I made a new order on your website without using the AUP plugin as a payment method (I used PayPal).
So you can see your administrator account earned 43 points (I had set the point to 0 just before purchase) thanks to the $43 order.

Once the order is created, I just went to the back-office, Hikashop>Sales and set the order status to "confirmed" manually.

have upgraded to ver 1.5.3 where one of the changes was a fix for the AlphaPoints plugin

My new prob is as follows;
1) I was provided with a customers full info and credit card info for an order
2) I entered all info in the shopping cart and was redirected to the PayPal Payment site
3) I then entered the CC info (not using PayPal account)using the Credit Card selection of PayPal
4) While checking the alphapoints user section, I noticed that the points earned were not recorded for that user's order.

Tests I ran
1) went to our site and placed an test order all the way up to PayPal payment screen
2) In the back-office, Hikashop>Sales and set the order status to "confirmed" manually
3) The points earned, did show-up on my test order
4) Went to the back-office, Hikashop>Sales and on the order that I had placed through PayPal, where points did not report, I set the order status to "created" manually
5) I then set the order status to "confirmed" manually and the points earned were present in alphapoints for that user's order

p.s I also noticed that tne points were rewarded on the sub-total, settings are for not includ shipping, the customer had used a discount coupon and the total was less than the sub-total amt., how can I set the rewards points to be the amt. after application of any discounts?

The problem you're describing is exactly the problem that we fixed in the 1.5.3 release. So if you have it, you should not have that problem.
The way it see it, it sounds that the files of the plugin could not be updated because of access right issues and you're still using the old files of the AUP plugin.

Could you download the install package of HikaShop via your order on our website and copy via FTP the AUP plugin files from the folder back/extensions of the package to the folder plugins/hikashoppayment? Then try again. That way, you will be sure that you have the latest files of the plugin.

For your second point, I'm not sure I understand your question. Could you give an example of the problem ?
Looking at the code to get the amount of points from the order price, the discount is taken into account:

The install pkg that I had used for the upgrade was com_hikashop_essential_1.5.3_2011-08-11.zip
I checked my sites directory PlugIns/Hikashoppayment and see that all files are dated 8/11 except for the index.html file which is dated 12/14

The plg_hikashoppayment_alphauserpoints within the above 1.5.3...zip are all dated 5/5/2011 1:56 pm and include the following
alphauserpoints.php
alphauserpoints.xml
alphauserpoints_configuration.php
index.html

should I FTP all of these file including the index.html file?

As far as the second prob, see the attached image.
Within the Hikashop ordering the total for the order was $112, no shipping charges, with a discount of $10 which made the total order $102 which AUP should have recorded as 102 points but recorded 112 points. Maybe the above install prob is related.
