I wanted to change the appearance (color) of the product boxes, that appear when I show the categories. I thought that in Config -> Display the Parameters for DIV (I found no explanation for what the acronym DIV stands for) would change it, but regardless, what background color I chosse, nothing happens for those boxes. Probably my fault... ?!

The config->display parameter is the default parameters for when you create new modules and menus.
For modules and menus you already have, you should go to the HikaShop menu "Display->Content menus" or "Display->Content modules". Then, select the menu/module for which you want to change the color of the boxes, and then you will also have a color selector on the right.

DIV and LIST are a way of presentation of HTML elements:
www.w3schools.com/html/html_lists.asp
www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_DIV.asp

Hello,

in this line... Is possible to add a background image? I've seen that it's possible to make this background transparent in the DIV parameters editor but I'd like to add a background image and manage the css properties for the boxes. Where can I found this php file (if exists)?

Thank You

Yes, make the background transparent. Then, edit the front end CSS file of HikaShop in the Display tab of the configuration is you want to add your CSS.
