Buyer can't change an order in the cart

Hi,

Hope you can help. I'm just testing the order page (as a buyer) and forgot to include a characteristic/variant. The product is in the basket, but I can't simply adapt the order in the basket. When I click into the product in the basket, and go through the process again, it simply duplicates the order.

Is there a way to go back and amend the order without cancelling and starting the process again please?

What I'd like to know is, eg. If you forget to enter a name in the custom field, is there a way to go back and put it in?

You could just make the custom field as required. That way, users wouldn't be able to add the product to the cart without a name.

Thanks. Unfortunately because of the name/initial set up, I can't do that. Is there any other way please?

There is always a way but it's not simple and require a big chunk of custom coding, it's not just two lines to add in a view...
