Manual sorting order on products

Hi,

There is a option to sort products on "order" but there is no way to manually change the order as far as I can see. So this option is the same as to sort on product_id or product_created. Am I missing something?

Hi,

When you display the listing of products in the backend, you need to have the filters on the top to "products" and "direct sub elements". Only then will the ordering column be displayed. That's because it has no sense to try to order products in different categories and it wouldn't work correctly.

It shows if I choose "all" and "direct sub elements".

Thanks! I really appreciate the fast support. So far it has been a very refreshing experience to switch from Virtuemart and worth all the money.

I know this is an old post, but when I try this, no products appear. They only show if I choose a category under Root/Product Category. Is this correct?

I am trying to get my main store display (which shows all products from all categories) to show products first by category, and then by their individual ordering in that category. This is proving to be very difficult.

There is no option for that.

That thread is about something else: the sorting of products in each category.

For what you want, you would have to create a joomla article with hikashop products listing modules included in it using the loadposition system of joomla:
