hey, slowly making progress on my store but now i have a few items, I've realised I have no "add to cart" buttons on my items. I seem to have all these features here in place www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...first-test-sale.html but i'm running joomla 1.6 and this documentation is not quite perfect for it :(

any ideas what i'm missing to get the add to cart button showing?

cheers :)

Hi,

Either:
You didn't set a price for your product and the option "Display 'add to cart' button for free products" of the Display tab of the config is turned off
The option "Catalogue mode" of the Display tab of the config is turned on
You set a quantity of 0 for your product

Prices set!

Items have a price! (and characteristics with differing prices)

Catalogue mode is on!

Items have quantity!

I also have a hikashop cart module published too - eek! What next???

thanks!

Catalogue mode is on! <- Yes, that's the problem. Please turn it off.

can I ask for clarification on where the "show add to cart button for free items" is in display?

Ive looked all about in Hikashop, and in the "Display" area but not found it. Im running the latest version of Hikashop so it should be hear.

Any pointers very much appreciated.

It's not in the Display menu but in the Display TAB of the configuration:

Hi,

The configuration display has changed since the version 2.1 of HikaShop, thanks to check if the option "Display 'Add to cart' button" in Config > Display > Products is enabled.
And the option "Catalog mode" is in Config > Features > Main.

i have the same problem. I enabled "Display 'Add to cart' button" and i checked that catalog mode is off. Still products with no charge have no "add to cart" option.

Hi there,

You should make sure your module/menu also have the "Display 'Add to cart button'" enabled. You can see this in Display>Content Module/Menu. If it's good there, check that your product have prices or that the option "Show add to cart button for free product" is also enabled in the main configuration and for your module.

Finally, take a look at your views to see if you didn't edited anything and deleted the code for the add to cart button (Display>Views, check the show_default view of product for example).

Hi,

www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...ig.html#main_product

Display 'add to cart' button for free products : By default, the "add to cart" button is only displayed if the product has a price unless that option is turned on.

:)
so we are now getting some where which is great. :)

Now I need to remove the free label and the ability to choose quality. Which configuration setting would control these since I can not seem to find any setting on the product it's self?

Changing that text can be done with a translation override:
hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

If you want to remove the quantity input field, you can set the "Display the quantity field on the product page" option to "no input" in the HikaShop configuration.
