You need to turn off the "show footer" option of the Display tab of the configuration.

Hello I would like to keep the footer, HikaShop: Joomla! Online Shop System. Is it possible to change the text, ie the words to something less generic? I have looked in several index.php files, the css and the language tab you mentioned in this thread. Can you tell me what file calls this link to the Checkout Status page? I have Joomla 2.5.x and have purchased Essential (upgraded to the latest version).

Thank you for your help, to this question and to the many many others that are posted in this forum. I have found many solutions / answers to my questions.

One of the lucky ones not flooded out in Calgary....

It's not easily possible to do that.
The footer is meant to display a link to our website and nothing else.

You would have to edit the code of the function hikashop_footer of the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/helper.php

But if you're not well versed in programming, it will be easier to just deactivate it and use a joomla custom HTML module to add that link in a footer position of your template.

Thank you very much, since I had purchased Essential I thought there should be a way to change the footer. No problem, thanks for your reply I don't have to keep looking and I will try your suggestion. I am using Beez_2 for my template, so from your instructions, 1. disable the footer in the HikaShop configuration as mentioned earlier in this thread, then 2. create a custom module and putting it in the footer position of the Beez template it will then show up in the Checkout Cart status pages.
