Hello,
I "HikaShop Essentiel" have.
We want to offer coupons that are then sent by post.
Since these can be bought as a gift, we need two fields can be entered into where the "From" and "For".
Is this in the "Essentiel" possible? I could not find anything.

Thank you!

Hi,

That can only be done with the Business edition. You will have to go in the menu Display->Custom fields and create new custom fields of the type "item", published on the front end, and they will appear on the product page of your products. If you don't want them for all the products, you will be able to limit them to only some categories.

Hi Nicolas,

I am slightly confused, "Custom fields for products and user information" is listed as a feature in "Essentials" but yet you're saying it is not. Please kindly clarify this.

Thanks

With the essential edition, you can create custom fields of the tables "product" and "user".
The product information is entered in the back end and can be displayed on the product page. It does not allow you to gather information from customers.
User custom fields allow you to gather information for the user directly on the checkout registration form. But that is linked to the user, not to an order and even less to a product of an order.

Custom fields of the table "item" are only in the Business edition and they will appear on the product page of your products so that you can gather information for products of the orders of your customers.

Thanks Nicolas, that's clear to me now. Judging from your answer it's the "product" custom fields that I am particularly interested in at the moment. Just a quick overview, it's going to be skincare products and I want to be able to create products fields like "ingredients", "how to apply" etc. and put them in tabs.

Then yes, that should be product custom fields.
