Limit amount of a product per user, not per order

Hi!

We have a shop with a fixed group of users.
They have a quota and we want them to be able to buy a fixed amount (e.g. 10 pcs) of a product (e.g. show tickets).
I know you can configure a product with maximum amount per order but that would not prevent the user from placing additional orders with the same product, right?
Can you anywhere enter an all-time limit per user?

Thanks a lot! I just recently upgraded to the business version to use access levels and did not notice the new "Limits" option there.

In this regard, is it also possible to set a maximum amount each user can add to the shopping cart?
I am in the same situation, with a closed user group. If possible, I would like to be able to set a maximum limit to each users shopping cart.
Example: User "A" can not add products for more than $400 to the cart. User "B" not more than $200 etc.
I only need 2 groups, and two maximum amounts, divided between full time and part time employees.
