Add a SALE flash

Hi Guys,

I nice touch would be for a SALE flash to appear on discounted items - is there an easy way to achieve this?

Hi,

You could change the image of the product after adding such flash to it in an image editing software like photoshop or gimp.

Hi Nicolas,

Yeah this is a good way - however, I'd rather have a PHP method so it's automatic. For example; if the category ID = special offer then a png file is loaded into the box.

Apologies for the crudeness of this explanation. Not a problem if there's no way of doing this.

There is no option for that for now in HikaShop. That would indeed be a nice addition in the future.

Agree this would be a REALLY nice feature. Being able to promote a sale without changing the images would be awesome!

Hi,

Has this been added? All the sale options I can see act on the price rather than as image overlays.

It is something we could design for ourselves, but if someone has done it already...

Hi,

Yes ; it uses the "badge" system in HikaShop.
You can create a badge image for all discounted products and because you can use a gif, the image can "flash".
