SEO Friendly URLs

I have the short URLs turned on and the Joomla install is set to use SEO friendly URLs, but the site cmathletics.com is not using shortened URLs. What's the method I should follow to get this to work because SEO is the next step for this client.

Joomla has made a specific tutorial to setup SEF on your website:
