Stock listings

Hi - Am creating a site with many one-off items. Have done a couple of test orders (as far as the paypal bit) but haven't actually paid for the items. When I've done this the site updates to show 0 items (no stock) available for this item. This would be great but I'm wondering if it's possible to somehow alter the changing of the stock lit until after a customer has paid with paypal. I guess they're two separate systems but just thinking about people that get as far as the paypal bit and then decide they don't want the items after all. These items still show as 'no stock' when the next customer comes along. Any ideas?

Hi,

If the order is cancelled, the stock will be reverted.
There is an automatic plugin to cancel the orders after a certain time in the commercial version of HikaShop so that you don't have to cancel them manually.
Also, if you use a hosted payment gateway like paypal pro, orders won't be created if the payment is not valid, so you won't have that problem either.

I am actually seeing the opposite behavior here where the stock is not adjusted until the order is complete. Is there a way to adjust the stock as soon as the product is added to the cart? If so, can an inactive/abandoned cart be configured to time out and empty after a specified period?

The stock is adjusted at the moment the order is created.

What that user wanted is to have the stock adjusted only when the order was confirmed, after the payment was made (that can be several days after the order is created if the use pays by check for example).

What you want is yet something else.
In the configuration, you will find options to delete carts after a certain period. However, there is no option to adjusted the stock based on carts. And I don't see an easy way to change the system to allow that. That would require to customize the code of several core files of HikaShop.
