Hi, i want to open again the discusion about the image resizing for the product page.

I was reading almost all the topics i've found arround the forum but still have some doubts about the solution you sugest of changing them on the view menu/modules for each listing.

My issue is that considering i've just discovered how cool is to automatically generate category trees with the csv import functionality , now i found myself with near 100 categories/subcategories and i'm struggling with the idea of modify each of those views individually to reflect my look intentions and honestly is a very frustrating thought.

In almost every cart software i've tried 'till now the behavior of the cart is always thumbnails for listings and full size on product description, i think this is what you naturally expect about the behaviour of the cart software.

So why not simply ad something in the general configuration pannel like "size for the listing thumbnails" and "size for the image in product page", is to much complicated?

I've seen some implementation of the solutions listed in the other posts but tey have the problem that sometimes the images remain big on the checkout page and that is a real pain in the eyes!

I'm a fan of joomla and these is by far the smootest integration of a shopping cart in joomla, i've tried but this issue is driving me crazy!

Yes, there is indeed room for improvement in that end.
It's indeed about adding a few options (plus reviewing all the views where they will be used).
So it's not just 5minutes. It will be done, and it's on the todo list.

So that option is something we can wait for in the "not to distant future"?

Then i think i'm going to opt for a more clean solution for the "thumbnails-large immage" issue.

I've been buying some templates from joomspirit.com and this people have an awesome styling of their hikashop installation, they have found the correct proportions so the image thumbnail and the product immage, tought they have the same size in both pages (list & product), they look very nice and you can't even notice that they have the same dimensions.

Is all about the design intentions, isn't it?

They give their hikashop's customization css for free and is very well writen and easy to modify to match the look of any website so i think that by the moment i'm going to adapt that for simplicity, hopping to find this upgrade in the next releases of hikashop.

Thank you for the tip on Joomspirit, not only did I find the customization I needed, but I found a fantastic template I purchased.
