Selling stuff per weight

Hi !

I was asked to make an e-shop in order to sell organic products(oranges, kiwis, watermelons etc)

The problem is that my customer wants to sell the products by weight.

Let's say 1 kilo of oranges costs 4 euros. If someone wants 0.8 kilos is there a way to sell that way the products.

I've tried virtue mart but no luck

Hi,

You can do that with custom fields of the table "item" in the Business edition and a quantity price calculation override plugin:

Here is one we made where the custom field name needs to be "ordered_weight".
