Hi,
I found some topics from about a year ago that HikaShop don't deal with a reservation form.
Is there a possibility at this moment (one year after others asked this allready ;-) )?

If not, is it on the road map?

It's not possible.
It won't be done in the short term. It's still on the todo list for the future.

Hi,

I just wonder, if the mentioned function is still on to do list?
I am also becoming in need of reservation, since in my country there is some gap between order and payment. During this time gap, I need product to be reserved and not accessible to other users to avoid possibility of double order.

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not sure that we're taking about the same thing here. Here it's more about a booking system for handling hotel reservations and such (at least that's why I thought 1 year ago).

By default in HikaShop, when an order is created, the product is already reserved. The product is restocked if the order is cancelled.
So it's already the case by default. Double orders are not possible.

Hi Nicolas,

I think this is not exactly true, or am I missing any special setting in Hikashop?
I have two types of payment: 1) advance payment using external payment systems and 2) collect on delivery.
If customer creates an order and pays it by his credit card immediately, the product is reserved.
however, when a collect-on-delivery order is created, the product is not reserved.
So, I suppose reservation is done when order goes to status "confirmed".
At least, if I manually change status to confirmed, the product quantity is decreased by 1.

So, what happens if two different customer place order for the same product during night time? Product is still available, and in the mirning I have to negotiate with one of customers to recover her loyalty, because I can't ship one product to two different customers...

Is there any workaround you may suggest?

Hi to all,
watashi, I think you are right.
When a buyers makes an order the order has the state OPEN.
The product is blocked only at the moment, when the administrator has confirmed the payment, means order status set PAID.
It is too late!
When the money needs some days in an external payment system a second customer can order the same product.
For my page it is impossible, because I have only 1 piece of each product.

I really ask you to find a solution fast please.

Hi,

As I said, by default in HikaShop, the stock of the products is reserved when the order is created, not when the order is confirmed.

If that's not the case on your website, it means that you turned on the option "Update the product stock on confirmed status" of the configuration and then the stock is not reserved at the order creation but at the order confirmation. Turn it back off and it will reserve the stock when the order is created.
