Hello on the front page of my site atv-utv-accessories.com/ , I placed a category listing content module with a menu setting of none, so the category would open to the default subcategory listing, it worked when I first tried it, but in second try when I clicked John Deere, the page url shows atv-utv-accessories.com/index.php/category/20-john-deere , but the page does not change. I am new to Hikashop, migrating from Tienda, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Carin

I accidently just fixed it, but, I can see that I do not understand the "Associated products listing for category listing" which is found under the Display-Content Modules. Concerning the question I just posted, even though I selected None for menu, when I went back to look at the settings on the module there was a menu link in the option, so I looked at the link it gave and set the associated category for "product category" to show the primary categories, and it worked.

Now I have a secondary question, under Display-Content Modules, I have 4 of the same titles"Associated product listing for category listing menu 173" they all have unique IDs, this is also repeated for menu 57- 4 separate lines the same all with different IDs. I'm not sure what they are or what I did to create them, and I am a bit lost in this regard, although I have been working in Joomla for over a year. Thanks! Carin

Hi,

These menus are created automatically for your module.
When you unselected the first one, another one was created automatically to replace it in that "menu" option of your module.

When you create a category listing module, the module only handles the display of the categories inside the module. Then, when you click on a category, it displays the content, sub categories or products, in the main area of your website. For that display, it's a category listing menu which is used and it's the options of the menu that you can change to adapt the display.
