I've got the links on my site I want to add items to my shopping cart, from the link given on the product pages. Works fine, adds the items fine. What I don't want to happen is for the user to leave the page that they are on, I don't want them to be taken to the shopping cart. My options?

Hi,

You can configure the action to do after the event "add to cart".
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...config.html#checkout

After a product is added to the cart : You can choose to always go to the checkout page, or to always stay on the same page. Additionally, you can let the system choose whether to stay or go to the checkout based on the cart module being displayed or not: if displayed, you will stay on the same page but if the module is not displayed you will go to the checkout page. Finally, you can choose to display a notification popup to the user which will stay for 3 seconds where the user can click on a button to access the checkout or close the popup immediately.

When I add to cart with an HTML link and not the normal Add to Cart button, it ignores the event setup, like displaying a popup box or staying on page, it just always goes straight to the cart. Add to cart from the normal Add to Cart Button triggers the event like you mentioned.

Yes, that option cannot work if you use a direct HTML link.

If you want to stay and display a popup while still using an HMTL link, you will have to have you HTML link more complex:
