simple Mini Cart Setup

Me again

Is it possible to set up a kind of mini cart in a few simple steps?
I have found some comments in various topics in the forum but nothing really helped me out.

My plan is to just show a cart icon, the total price of all items in cart and a small "go to checkout"-button (maybe the price is linked to proceed to checkout - that makes it even smaller)...
Do you think this is possible without rewriting the whole Hika-Cart?

I tried a few modifications in View/Checkout/Cart in HikaShop but wasn't able to get this running.


Any help would be very welcome.

exactly like this! cannot believe that hikashop updates are coming that fast. i will upgrade from 1.4 (downloaded last week) to the current version and try it out.

yes...the shopsystem is hikashop. The best shop system for joomla. We worked on [url]http:/www.idbeer.de[/url] with virtuaMart, and this was realy a hell.
With hikashop you realy have a cool, easy to design and multilingual shop solution. AND...a perfekt support.

The Minicart-Version is just the old cart modul with some deleted lines....

i tried virtue mart too but skipped it after the first blank pages...

ich fürchte schon! man das ist doch echt witzig. ja ich beschäftige mich mit der shop-thematik nur weil wir gerade Apps und Software entwickeln und da mglw. was eigenes bräuchten...

Is this only in the Business version?

I have 1.4.1 essential installed from Monday but cannot see the mini-mart option.
Can see it on your on-line demo - both installations say 1.4.1.

In the demo it only shows total price.
An option to show total number of items would be useful (but presumably templates can be used to fine tune it).

With the Mini-Cart option activated it looks like this...
