Order Numbers not working correctly since update

I updated in order to get my options to work (still having issues with that) but now my order numbers are not working as they should.

I type in: {id size="5"}/{date format="m/Y"}
When I hit save i get this: {id size="5"}/{date format="m/Y"}"

what's the deal? I had it set like this before the update and it worked just fine? I really need to fix this.

thanks,

Uncle Twisty.

Hi,

We don't have that problem on our end.
Would it be possible that it comes from your browser ?
Could you provide a back end access to your website so that we can look at the problem ?

Did you try with another browser ?

If you make a copy of your website locally to do also have the problem ?

It's hard to say anything on our end since we don't have that problem...

Tested in Firefox and Safari both with the same results. Worked fine up until I updated. Is this info store in the database so I can change it on the backend?

I found the database and edited it there. Config name key = order_number_format

Once saved there it works again. Something is happening when you hit save on the front end admin.

Yes, you can edit it manually in the hikashop_config table. But that's strange that it's not displaying fine in the interface of the configuration and that we can't reproduce the problem.

I agree that it is strange. However it looks like many others are experiencing this issue since the update as this topic has been viewed over 300 times. I will give you any info that I can. (PM for site info)

Do you use the standard back end template ? Do you have some system plugins which could generate that problem ?
I'm thinking that maybe a tag replacing plugin might cause that.

I don't believe I have any plugins that should cause this issue. I have tried setting the editor to "none" and still get the issue. My website is www.glockets.com let me know if you see any plugins that I should disable to test

I can't see the list of your plugins with just the URL of your website.
Could you give a back end access to your website via our contact form ?

Hi,

Sorry but I don't see any difference between the two parameters.
To change the order format the option is in Configuration > Main > Order

Please look closely. I did enter {id size="6"} in the config>main>order. After saving it make
{id size="6"}". It is one inverted comma to much. Therefore are the order id in the mails false.
I make the change also in the database. But it change automatically.

Hi,

I don't really understand why this quote is added, if you try to set anything else for the order code, is the quote still added ?
In database, this should not be added, unless you save the config in the backend after.
