Hi! I enabled the option "Force SSL on checkout" and it works fine when I proceed to ckeckout from the "chekcout" menu item. SSL is not enabled though if I choose the checkout option from the pop up notice. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

I don't see how that's possible. The SSL redirection is done on the checkout so even if you access the checkout without HTTPS, it should automatically redirect you.

Could you give a link so that we can see both cases ?

Sure Nicolas thanks. I'm PM you the link of the shop in progress.
Btw I've noticed that when checking out throught the pop up window, it redirects to the checkout process, but through the currenttly viewed product category (check breadcrumbs). Thus the SSL is not enabled.
P.S. To avoid any confusion, SLL shouldn't be enabled on my site when the cart is empty.
Thank you in advance.

There must be something else redirecting back the checkout to a non HTTPS page on your website. I don't know what it is though.
Did you install something which is related to SSL ?

Indeed I have installed the SSL redirection plugin so that I can redirect HTTP-pages to secure HTTPS-pages, and back again.. Is there a way to manually force the popup to redirect to HTTPS if choosing check out?
Thank you

What plugin SSL redirection plugin are you talking about ?
Could you give a link ?

If you turn on the "force SSL on checkout" option of the configuration of HikaShop, it will put the checkout with HTTPS. There is no need to install another plugin for that.

I have turned on the "force SSL on checkout" option.
The reason I`ve installed this plugin (Yireo SSL Redirection - extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-ma...rl-redirection/11326 ) is because I can`t redirect my pages back to HTTP. If I disable the plugin, the checkout from the popup notice works fine (HTTPS), but I have the problem of redirection.
Any advice?
Thanks

You should not use that plugin for that.
Instead you should use that plugin: www.hikashop.com/forum/2-general-talk-ab...s.html?lang=en#33381

Nicolas,

Has this module been tested or is it even needed at this point?

I am getting the red x and / through the HTTPS in Google Chrome when I force SSL on the checkout page. I think this is because I have a combination of secure and insecure content on the same page.

Thank you,

Paul

Yes it is tested. And it's not needed as it is in HikaShop by default in the latest version.

You problem is that you have some resources on your page (images, CSS, js files) which are referenced with HTTP instead of HTTPS. That could come from a module, a plugin, your template.
Hard to say which one without looking at the HTML of the page.
