Can't Get Products To Display

I've been wracking my brain for two days now trying to fix this and I'm finally throwing myself on the mercy of the court.

Here's what's happening: I can add items and place them into their proper categories. However, when I want to view the items in a category, they refuse to show:

computers.excel.net/index.php/component/...ory/21-test-category

You can navigate directly to the product, but that's not what I'm trying to do.

computers.excel.net/index.php/component/hikashop/product/cid-5

I've gone backwards and forwards over the documentation and I'm still coming up empty. What am I missing? Whatever information is needed, let me know and I'll try and supply it.

That link was not created via the creation of a joomla menu item, thus there are no options in order to display the products listing.

Please creating a HikaShop category listing menu by following that tutorial and it will work:

I've run through that a couple of times. I'll run through it again and post the results.

Ok.
If you still can't figure it out, please post some screenshots of what you configured, so that we can see it and tell you what you're doing wrong.

Yeah, still can't quite get it to roll:

computers.excel.net/index.php?option=com...egory&layout=listing

So here are my attachments. I'm sure you're right, I'm missing SOMEthing but I just can't figure out for the life of me what it is.

If you need any screenies of anything else, just let me know.

Your link is not correct as it is missing the "Itemid" parameter.
It should be:

http://computers.excel.net/index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=category&layout=listing&Itemid=XXX
where XXX is the id of your category listing menu (and by the way, the screenshot of your menu's options indicates that you configured your menu as a products listing since the type of content option is set to product).

So do two things:
1. change back the type of the menu to "category".
2. add the id of the menu in your link as explained above.

The first screenshot is a screenshot of the screen which appears when you click on the link of the "associated modules" option of the second screenshot ?
If not, could you do a screenshot of that screen ?
If yes, then could you do a screenshot of the menu Display->Content menus in HikaShop ?

Do you have a menu item with the id 144 in your joomla menu manager ? If not please create a new listing of category menu by following the tutorial here:
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...html#categories_menu
If yes, please make sure that it is published and accessible to the public.

So here's what happened: For testing purposes, I left it as "Special." Once I switched it to "Public," it worked fine. It's now back on Special, but I'll have to find some other way to display it for testing purposes. Any suggestions?

You should leave it to public and instead set it on a parent menu which is not displayed by your template. That way, you will still be able to access it but your users won't have any link to it.
