Can Hikashop handle this scenario?!

Hello!

I'm building a website where we sell services to be accessed and used directly from the same website.
Our scenario is mainly: you register, log-in, buy a service based on time ("enter a private area in the website" or "submit 2 articles you wrote every month" or "advertize you" or "upload images" or "store some data" or something else), access/use what you bought until expiration.
The services are tailored and they needs to integrate to the shopping cart, because the cart must work in this way: for every service you want yo buy, you have to choose how long you want to subscribe (1 month, 3-6-12 months) and, after you bought it, the service will work for you until your service-subscription expires.

How can I handle this using HikaShop? Should I need a Essential/Business version for my scenario?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

You will have to use our integration with akeeba subscription in order to be able to define subscription plans for each service you want to provide. Then, you'll be able to link products in HikaShop with subscripion plans in akeeba subscriptions so that when users buy your services in HikaShop, they get added to the plans in akeeba subscriptions.
That's possible with all the versions of HikaShop.

Here is the documentation for this integration:

Hi Nicolas, I was going to ask a similar question.

Does this work for products? Like a wine of the month club? So they pick say a "product", they set it up to be a monthly reoccurring transaction, and then is it possible for some system in here to on the anniversary of the period, re-bill paypal, generate the order so the site owners know to pick and deliver the goods etc?

I actually have 2 sites I need to do that will need reoccurring transactions for products and would love to know the possibilities.

HikaShop only handles the first transaction. Then, it's up to akeeba to tell the user to either pay again for the product or potentially bill it again. But I don't think that there is any reoccuring system in akeeba, so I don't think that you will be able to do that.
Instead, another possibility would be to modify the paypal plugin of HikaShop (complex but feasible for a normal developer)in order to handle reoccuring billing. I'm sure you could find a developer who could add that in the paypal plugin for you.
