Hello,

I'm creating a fashion ecommerce site and it's very important there are good product filters. I want to try and create something similar to these www.asos.com/Men/Jeans/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=4208 along the left hand side but when I try nothing appears in the module I create. I can't find any detailed step by step documentation on how to create a filter.

Specifically, what I want to do is create several tick box filter so in one, clients can choose the collection, in another, clients can choose size, then colour, etc.

Thanks in advance

I have seen them but they aren't detailed in how to create a product filter like that. I'm looking for a step by step guide or if anyone knows how to do that.

Cheers.

I don't have the business edition (too expensive for me :P) so i can't help you out but in my opinion you should try and experiment with it...it's not rocket science :)

I have fiddled around but no luck yet and I don't really have time to experiment around. If anyone has any advice I'd be very grateful.

First, you need to create either custom fields of the table product via the menu Display->Views and then set the values for them in your products or characteristics (or a mix of both) and then create filters corresponding to these . Then you can use the filter module in order to display them on the side of your website.
If you can't get the module to display, we can only help you if you can post screenshots of the options of the module and maybe a link to the page, so that we can see what you did.

Thanks for your help. I've been playing around with product filters and basically I didn't understand how to use them properly. I've sort of figured out how to use them but it's opened up a lot more questions!

Cheers
