How do I put in clothing sizes options

I looked around and could not find any answers. How do you add in clothing sizes Option like S M L XL on the product page?

In Hikashop, go to characteristics in the prodcts menu and make a new characteristic named: sizes.
click on add, and write: S
click on add, and write :M
etc.....

When finished, go to you product and click "add characeristic"
here, add the sizes characteristic you just made.
