I have read
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...ct-form.html#related
but not yet able to do what I want.

I have only 20 products in 2 categories. I would like to arrange it so that for each product, on its product page, those related products will be shown below.

To make a simple test, besides those settings mentioned on the above link, I created a menu, select "Hikashop product page" as Menu Item Type, ... On the frontend, this menu will lead me to the product page but _without_ those "related products". :(

I do some further tests and in a case I pick "product listing" as Menu Item Type, I can get "related products" under a list of product.
I try to study what I'd done among those setting pages but cannot figure out whether a same item (e.g. Sub elements filter) which appear on more than one setting pages are "And"/"Or"/"Nested" ... and more importantly, I cannot achieve what I want.

I have checked your Demo page as well. Unfortunately, none of those pages use "related products" as example.

Or, should I first create one category per product before I can manipulate those settings to achieve the effect I want?

Following the documentation should allow you to display the related products bellow your products without doing anything else.
Could you post a screenshot of your related module's hikashop options, of your related module's joomla options, of the Display tab of your configuration and a link to a product page so that we can see what you did ?

In the option "modules under the product page" of the Display tab of the configuration, you didn't enable your related module.
That's why it doesn't work.

Hello,

I have set things up similar to the above. It seems to work great except I have a situation I'm not sure how to fix.

Let's say I have 2 menus items:
Item 1) Product Listing - in this case when you see the product listing for a category X the related items are not shown. This makes sense since the related items should only be shown when viewing a single product, not a listing of a product category. This is Good!
Item 2) Category Listing - in this case if I select the product category title link from the category listing view then I see related items for all the products in the list. I don't think this should be the case. The view is essentially identical to the Product Listing view of the same category X, the only difference being how you get to the view (i.e. click on menu item Product Listing with associated category X, or click on Product Category Title for category X in a Category Listing).

is there anyway to stop the related products from showing in any product category listing view, and only in the individual product views?

I'm sure I'm missing something simple :)

thanks,

Just unpublish the related products module in the joomla modules manager and make sure that in the option "modules under the product page" of the Display tab of the configuration, you enable your related module.
