Hello

How do I change the wording and colours of the default messages such as "The system is in maintenance" which has a red top border and bottom border with blue/grey background in between and black text? This does not show up clearly on a dark background i.e. you can't read it.

Many thanks

Text can be changed like that in HikaShop:
www.hikashop.com/en/download/languages.html#modify

The colors of the messages come from your template. Please ask your template provider about that.

Somehow this doesn't work for me. When I save it it goes back to the old message. Which file is it so I can change it with ftp?

Hi,

It must be a problem with the permissions on the files/folders under the "languages" folder of your website.
That's where you'll find all the language files, including the override files.
