Change from drop down to bullet list

Hi there,

How can I change this Characteristics/variant list from a drop down to a bullet list? (radio buttons)(see image)

I'm sure I have seen this in other forum questions, but I can't find out how to make the switch,

But why don't they line up top-to-bottom instead of side-to-side. Can this styling be fixed? (image)

Found this topic with search but can't get it to work. If I edit FrontEnd or BackEnd CSS it doesnt have the code:

.hikashop_product_characteristics_table{
width: 100%;
}
.hikashop_product_characteristics_table input{
float: left;
clear: both;
}
.hikashop_product_characteristics_table label{
display: block;
}

If you don't have these css properties, you can try to add them at the end of the css file.
And it should work fine.

Unfortunatly, adding that piece of code to the end of the frontend CSS file for Hikashop doesn't change the layout of the bullets Any other suggestions?
