Hi condorazul,

To create custom filters, you have to set characteristics for your products.
In your case: Color, age, origin.

Then in Hikashop > display > filters, create new filters. In options select, Apply on: Characteristics and then choose which characteristic have to be applied.
Don't forget to choose the categories to apply this filter.

but if i create characteristic for each products, i mean, 3 of them are form spain and 2 of them are from england. then i create a characteristic origin and in each choose the origin, the problem is that the product displays it on the product page as choose between origin, but i dont want that to be displayed, i just want them to exist to create a custom filter. How can i do that?

Then you don't want to use characteristics but create custom fields of the table "product" via the menu Display->Custom fields. They will appear in the back end edition of products so that you can select them, and you will be able to create your filters based on them so that users can filter their products listing based on them.
