I know I am missing something basic, but I am at a loss!

Is there a way to show the "Add to Cart" button with out regard to the on-hand inventory? Ideally, I do not even want to use the inventory feature.

Then just leave the default value of the quantity field to "unlimited" in your products and the stock system won't do anything and you will get the add to cart button all the time.

Hi Nicolas,
so I'm a bit confused on turning on and off inventory management. If I have 1000 products and want to turn off inventory management (give users the ability to order regardless of the inventory on hand), we need to go individually into each product and the variants and change to Unlimited? We are gradually moving to our inventory management and want to give users the ability to order now.

I would think there would be some inventory management configuration that would turn on or off?

thanks!!!!

Hi,

It is not possible to use and not use the inventory system in the same time.
If you want the stock for your products, it means that, when a customer buy a product, the stock should be decrease.
But, if you always authorize to sell a product, even if a product do not have stock, it means that your stock would be negative.. So it would be a bug.
If you want a private value for your stock and not use the product, the best is to use a product custom field which would not be displayed for the customers (or displayed, if you want) but most important, which would not change automatically.
