Characteristics -> Values

Hello, I have a question about the following:

We have 2 characteristics 'color' and 'format' (= for furniture shop).
Within this 2 characteristics we have for each about 100 different values, and still growing...

Is there any easy way with import function that the application automaticly see this new values?
On this moment, before the upload, we every time have to check by hand and if we have a new value, add this by hand in the backend of Hikashop.
Not very convenient:(

Problem is that if we had not see a new value we get an error at this product in frontend shop.
