Hi, i have disabled joomla registration, and have no registration in Hika shop, you just go straight to the checkout.
However, i'm having issues tracking who buys what, as sometimes they're using someone elses (wifes) Paypal account.
I would like to just have the NAME field at the Checkout Process, without registration, or at least Joomla Registration (with no need to confirm).
My checkout flow is: payment_confirm_cart_status_fields,end
Can I just add: name_ to the beginning of it, switch on joomla registration, and then ONLY the NAME field will be requested?
I'm getting confused sometimes. Switch things on, then off, the on, ....

You cannot just add "name" to the checkout
The parts of the workflow each have a lot of code to generate them.
You could add the login_address_ parts so that the user information is asked. You can reduce the amount of information asked by setting the option registration under the tab display to "no registration" and then unpublishing the custom address fields you don't need via the menu Display->Custom fields. You can also hide the login screen with a bit of CSS. That way you could just have their email address and name asked.
