Hi, I'm trying to set up Hikashop on a second website, the first one seems to be working well.
On the second one, I need to change the item box background color for both category and products. I have entered the color code as the item box background color and saved, but the box doesn't change from white.

Also, is there a way I can change the wording in the cart from 'price' to 'donation' ? My background on the second website is dark, so is there a way to change the color of the price in the product listing as well as the cart?

And, I am getting an error when I try to checkout ... I get 'Could not instantiate mail function' notice, but then it does re-direct to paypal.

Thank you for this great program and your dedicated and very appreciated help!

Hi,

1. You need to edit each menu and module via the menu Display->Content menus/modules and change the background color there.

2. The wording of any text in HikaShop can be changed via a translation override:
www.hikashop.com/en/download/languages.html#modify

3. The prices color can be changed as explained here:
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...-styling.html#prices

4. That email sending error means that the email options are not configured properly, either in the configuration of Joomla or in the Email tab of the configuration of HikaShop.
Check that documentation:
www.acyba.com/en/support/documentation/2...e-mail-function.html
Between both configuration pages, you will have all the options mentioned in that FAQ.

Hi, Nicolas!

You and your answers are amazing! With your kind help, I managed to get #2, 3, and 4 taken care of! Honestly, I was quite surprised that I could do that!

Regarding #1, the menu background color changed fine, but for some reason, the module background color has not changed, even though I'm pretty sure I have changed it correctly as directed. It shows up as changed in the back-end and shows the color I entered in the Parameters for DIV area. I have tried and saved several times, but maybe I am doing something wrong.

Sorry, but I have a couple of other questions.

Is it possible to default the country in the registration area to the US?
And, is it possible to add a line space in the cart between the address information - the shipping method - and the payment method?

Once again, I thank you.

1. Give a link to the page where you want to change the background color of the items and I'll tell you what menu/module to edit.

2. Yes. You can configure that via the menu Display->Custom fields.

3. Yes. You could simply add some padding-top with CSS like that:
.hikashop_checkout_page fieldset{ padding-top : 25px !important; }

Thank you, again, Nicolas.

1. Here is link to the product page where I cannot get the background color to change.
newsite.christiansincrisis.net/cic-store...lly-s-testimony.html

In the content module, I have the Item Box Background Color set as #0a0a0a which is the background color of the website.

2. Got that!

3. Do I add the line that you gave anywhere into the CSS? Something like that is not already there, right?

4. Sorry, one additional question. Last night I was asked to put some items in the store with no set price, but a place for the customer to input his own donation amount for the item. Is that possible to do with hikashop?

I do appreciate your kind expertise. Thank you, again!

1. Go in the menu Display->Content modules and edit the module with the id 114. There check that the background color is 0a0a0a. From what I can see, it's not the case.

3. Yes. At the bottom or the beginning for example.

4. That will require to create a custom field of the table "item" (business edition) and the column name "amount" via the menu Display>Views in order to display the input box. Then, install and publish that plugin and it will work.
