Auto select default shipping not working!!

Hello.

I am trying to get the system to automatically add a shipping method to products based on price.
I have 3 shipping methods set up
1. upto £500
2. upto £1000
3. upto £2.500

Manual shipping plugin is published.
I have set the checkout process to the following:

Auto select default shipping and payment methods: - yes (also tried 'yes' if only one method is available, also tried no, but nothing seems to work.)
Auto submit shipping and payment - Yes
Force shipping regardless of weight - Yes

Within the shipping methods I have set a maximum price, so for upto £500 set to £500, etc

All 3 shipping methods are displayed on the checkout page fine, but none are automatically chosen!!??

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Can you please :

- let the "Auto select default shipping and payment methods" set to YES
- try to change the "order" of your 3 manual shipping methods
- see if you have one of your methods is automatically chosen.

I changed the orders around a few times, it seems to only auto select the top option no matter what!

If you want I can have a look but if you want a shipping method to be automatically choosen, you just have to set the "order" to 1.

There are 3 shipping methods, you cant set the order of all 3 to '1' ??

Yes, you can't set the "order" of your 3 methods to 1, that's why you'll have to choose only one manual shipping method that you want to be the default shipping method.

Ahh, I see..

I assumed that if I set a min price 0f £500 and a max price of £1000 then any products within that price range would automatically choose the correct method.. But as I discovered you cant add a min & a max price..

So my question is;

Why are there parameters within the shipping methods for min / max price, if it is not possible to automatically choose the correct method depending on price?
Or am I missing something?

So, what I need is if a user chooses a product that is £900, then shipping method upt0 £1000 will be checked automatically.

This is really important for my client, is there any way of implementing this ?

If you set the min price to £500 and the max price to £1000 then if a product is within that price range your shipping method will be displayed

Ok, there's the problem.

I have set the shipping method prices as above, and nothing gets automatically selected, you still have to select shipping manually at checkout.
Just noticed in your post that methods will only get 'displayed'
Unfortunately, the problem remains, It displays all 3 methods on the checkout page

Im sure Im just missing something or doing something wrong!

Perhaps it will be easier if you could take a look for me?

I think that it will be ok for now if you send me screenshots of your 3 manual shipping methods configuration(" Hikashop->System->shipping methods->HikaShop manual shipping plugin->'Your manual shipping method' ").

Attached is a screen shot of one of the manual shipping methods, the others are the same but different prices.

Please help me! I 've installed today the last update and the shipping method does not auto selected anymore. I checked again the settings and its the same as before!

Did you edited your "Shipping" file of your "Checkout" view of your front-end template through "Hikashop->Display->Views" ? If not, can you send me a temporary back-end access to your website through a private message ?

Thank you very much Mohamed! The problem was at Shipping file. I had made a few changes at Shipping file of my template, I deleted the overrides and now is working like before.
