Get rid of one category in category menu?

I have a category menu, and I made one more category (as was suggested elsewhere ont his forum) in order to display featured products as well, but the problem is now that category is also showing up as the last one in the category menu that i have, how do i remove it from there?

I tried selecting all except the last category in "Associated category" in "Paramter for categories" option but it will not let me choose a certain number, it will let me choose either one category or all of them ?

Again, how do I get rid of the unwanted category link in the category menu?

Also, can I get the product description to show next to the product before a person actually clicks on it?

I am not 100% sure I know what you mean by "category menu". If by this you mean a Joomla menu, then simply unpublished the menu item.

If by "category menu" you mean the list of categories displayed by Hikashop, then you need to go to the Components->Hikashop->Categories, and then in the list make sure the category is not published. This is under the column 'Published'. If you have a green tick, click on it so that you have a red circle with a white dot. The category will appear on the front page as set up, but should not appear in the list of categories.
