Hey,

I have another question.
I am using Paypal as a payment method.
We never charged anything for this to the customers.
Now we have changed that because Paypal is pretty expensive, so now we charge customers 5% of their total order amount.
This all works great, but now i want the costs to be put separate on the checkout page.
Just like you see the cost for the shipping method the customer chooses, i want the customer to see how much they have to pay for paypal.
Like this (or something):
Shipping: 1,00 euro
Paypal: 0,25 euro
Can you tell me how i could do that?
Tnx in advance!!

Hi,

If you use the latest version of HikaShop, you can enter flat and percentage fees for each one of your payment methods when you edit them.

Hi Nicolas,

I probably didnt explain myself enough.

I did indeed add the 5% cost into the payment method.
In the checkout the costs are calculated, so this goes ok.

In pic4 you can see that i choose the paypal method (with the 5% extra cost).
In pic5 (if you would calculate it), the total costs are now including those 5%.
but .... i would like to see the costs to be shown seperately.
Just like you see now on the picture that the shipping is shown seperately, i would like to have an extra field with the paypal costs.

Does this make sense?? ;)

That's the case actually. You must have updated from a previous version of HikaShop and you had customized the file "cart" of the view "checkout" so you didn't get the new code which adds that line.
Revert your customization and reapply it to the new version of the file and it will work.

omg .. so actually what you are saying is that i should remove my code changes before every update?
and then add them again after i updated?
also for the emails?

then i rly need to take a good look at my coding and make it better visible .......

if i reset the coding does hikashop automatically put down the latest code?
or do i need to delete all my codings, download a new upgrade, install it and then put my codings back?

You don't need to do it. It still works without doing any changes.
The problem is with the new features we add. They sometimes require changes in the views. If you already override the views, you don't get the changes and thus you cannot use some of the new features.
So you only need to apply again your changes IF you want to use a new feature and IF you had edited a view where we added something for it.

Making your changes more visible is indeed a good idea.

yes i understand that .. but the thing is that we dont know which files you've changed when you release an update. I always read the new features ofc, but maybe then its a good idea to also add which views have been changed.
For me that would be very usefull because now i will always check all of my codings while this might not be necessary and a bit a waist of my time.
Ah well .. thats something to think about ...

For now im gonna go check and improve my codings :P
Thanx for your help .. im gonna assume it will work once i'm done with my codings....
