Questions about the shopping cart:

Q1: I was wondering if I can make the cart as one of the top menu item, when user clicks it, it will link to the shopping cart details where displays all the transaction details (including items quantity/prices/amount/tax amount/shipping cost/etcc...), just like the example as the screen shot below. I can only find Hikashop shopping cart as a module , but not a menu type item. So don't know how to link it.

Q2: The cart should also display the quantity of the shopped item as well, see the amazon sample below.

Q2: See the cart logo, how can I make it happen? If that is the CSS code issue, then can you give me more specific tips of the coding and where I should apply it to?

Hi,

Q1. You can create a menu of the type hikashop checkout. That will display the first step of the checkout when you click on the link.

Q2. Then you would have to use the hikashop cart module with the mini cart option activated. That will display the cart module with a text with the number of items and the total price. The message can be customized via a translation override:
www.hikashop.com/en/download/languages.html#modify
That what, you could have it display only the number of products in the cart and then add CSS in the front end CSS file of HikaShop via the Display tab of the configuration in order to add a background image around the quantity.

I've add the menu item with "Hikashop check out type", and I want the quantity can be displayed in the cart image on this menu, like the screen shot below. Possible? If so how?

No, that's not possible. menu items are displayed by Joomla, not HikaShop. You can't change their display.
