You can import a CSV into the table hikashop_shipping_price via phpmyadmin.
The CSV should be something like that:

shipping_id,shipping_price_ref_id,shipping_price_ref_type,shipping_price_min_quantity,shipping_price_value,shipping_fee_value
XX,YY1,product,0,ZZ1,0
XX,YY2,product,0,ZZ2,0

where XX is the id of the manual shipping method, YY1 and YY2 two product ids, ZZ1 and ZZ2 the shipping prices of these products.

When i use your method nothing happen's after i import my CSV Shipping data....

1 should i already have the delivery method setup?
2. if no and the import should auto add the shipping rate and setup manual method then i can't figure it out

Since you need to enter the id of the manual shipping method in the CSV, you of course need to create it before importing the CSV.

shipping_id,shipping_price_ref_id,shipping_price_ref_type,shipping_price_min_quantity,shipping_price_value,shipping_fee_value
1,3610480115612,product,0,7.18,0
1,3610480115612,product,0,11.18,0

What am i doing wrong
i have set up Normal delivery
and setup Express delivery

1<i put the id of the manual shipping ID>,3610480115612<here i put the actual product code which is a mouse>,0<i left that like you did>,7.18<this is the cost to delivery the item>,0, <i left that as you did>

import via phpadmin is fine but i get nothing in Hikashop

Did i say i am new to all this

can you point me to where i'm going wrong

How do you set it to Normal Delivery and Express as when i click into the Manual Shipping and create the Express and normal shipping i get No ID column just a #?? PUZZULED

In the column shipping_price_ref_id, you should put the product_id as I told you previously, not the product_code.

There is indeed no id column for manual shipping methods. You need to look at the shipping_id column of the hikashop_shipping in the database in order to know the correct shipping_id to use.

Right so i have imported 18000, how in this world do you expect someone to add Shipping based on product through MSQL.... in the CSV file i have it clearly has the COLUMN DELIVERY why cant i just import that with the product...

I'm finding i have to do too much to get a site up and running via a csv file, i've used HIKAshop for numerous website and i have to say it's an amazing piece of kit but the flaws are clearly down to importing data correctly..

My point is if my csv file has a delivery column like a lot of other people why would we want to go through re-creating a csv file for shipping when you already have all the data required and when you have 18000 products that's just nonsense...

And when i do setup manual shipping i get a LIST of different shipping options, i have set the weight so shouldn't it choose the correct weight band and that be that, i have standard and express delivery costs for little things like usb keys and to big things like TV's so there are alot of shipping weights i don't think i'd want to see a list of 20 different shipping options when i go to purchase an item...

IS THERE NO WAY TO SIMPLIFY THIS

In your document for CSV import you might want to BOLD the comma and semi colon's as it took me a week to notice the difference and i had to go to a CSV company to understand what the file actually did and how....

AGAIN i have to say HIKASHOP is amazing & makes virtuemart look silly but we need more flexibility... i design like 3 website a every 2 weeks and i need this to work..

MY question on shipping and first setting up was asked because i still don't see why you would have to set something up you already have info for in CSV i.e you don't go through creating each category for your products as you have them listed in a CSV so common sense would tell you the same would apply to shipping as again i have it all in my CSV...... THESE ARE THE CONFUSING ELEMENTS WITH THE DOCUMENT RIGHT UP! there no explanation as to why one would create the shipping as you don't with categories WHY

SHIPPING HELP NEEDED

When i setup shipping based on max weight i find the shipping cost is not correct, this is via me setting it up manually NOT IMPORTING.... EXAMPLE:

Product weight: 0.669 GRAMS
Weight MAX: 499 Grams
Weight band cost: £7.99 (standard)

The cost for delivery should be: £7.18 but show up as £7.99 is there a formula i need for this to be correct as when i go to the customer wholesalers who i got the shipping prices off the price of standard delivery is £7.18 on their site with these shipping cost what am i not doing or what do i have to do for this to show up correctly?????

I understand your frustration and I totally agree that if you have a lot of products/shipping prices per products, importing them is a nightmare because it is not yet supported by the CSV import.

Why didn't we do it ? Because not everything can be done at the same time, and we have to have priorities. So far, you're the first one wanting to import a massive amount of shipping prices so that's why it wasn't a priority so far.

That doesn't mean that we won't do it. In fact, it's already on our todo list.

If you have a bigger shipping price displayed during the checkout than the price entered in the shipping method, it's probably that you selected a "tax category" in the options of the shipping method and thus the system is adding taxes to the shipping price. You should check on that in your shipping method.
