Sort Products Alphabetically

How do I get products to sort alphabetically? I changed the ordering in the two locations below but it's still not showing alphabetically.

Configuration > System > Display > Characteristics values ordering = Alphabetic
Configuration > System > Display > Default parameters for products = Product Name

Hi,

That first option is for characteristics. It's not related to products ordering.

That second option is a DEFAULT parameter. So it applies only to new menus and modules.
For existing menus and modules, go in the menu Display->Content menus/modules, edit your products listing menus and modules and you will have a similar option that you can use.
