Default product variant on product listing?

Hi,

I have two variants on one product x. First variant has id=10 (15g), second has id=11 (50g). Every variant has a different price. I selected default variant in product characterisics - id = 11 (so 50g variant is default). Now the problem is on product listing, the default variant is still id=10, but when I click on product it loads id=11. My wish is to have ability that product listing is also loading the variant that I selected in product options under "characteristics".

I found out that problem is with order of variants. How to reorder order variants anyway? Products have this ability to order (it's standard Joomla function) but variants don't have. Is this possible to achieve somehow?

The default value of a characteristic can be selected in the Characteristics area of each product.
The ordering of the values of a characteristic is done automatically either alphabetically or based on the order you added the values in the characteristic.

You can select one mode of the other with the corresponding option of the Display tab of the configuration called "Characteristics values ordering".

We have on the todo list the possibility to set an ordering for each value of a characteristic but that's not yet possible.

Hi,

The default variant value is set in the main product page.
You would have your dropdown lists and the selected values would be the default values.

Hi,

Did you implement ordering on variants? I cannot see it on the most recent version of hikashop. I had a request from the customer to have the variant drop downs on the front end product page in alphabetical order by default, is this possible?
