Re: remove price from displaying on the category list?

I found the option to disable the price from displaying when you look at individual products, but can someone tell me where (probably in the code) to disable the price from showing up when the products are listed on a category page?

I've dug through a lot of the front end display view code pages and I just can't find it to comment it out.

We transitioned to a purely catalog view and want NO pricing to show up anywhere.

Thank you for any guidance!

Go in the menus Display->Content menus/modules, edit all your product listing menus/modules and turn off the "show prices" option.

Hi Nicolas,

I cannot find that option in the current version (1.6.0 business). I have:
hikashop category index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=category&layout=listing

And there is no option to show prices... I understand that option is for product listings but what about category listings? I only want to hide prices from the category page, not on the product page itself. Besides, I do not have any product listing menu, just a category menu.

Thanks

Hi,

Category listings are displaying categories, not products, so there is no price option since categories don't have prices.

In your category menu, click on the link to the associated products listing module and than will open the display options for the products listing with that "show prices" option.

Hi,

No. You can hide/display the price of the products on the listings with all the editions of HikaShop.
When you edit your products listing menu item via the Joomla menu manager, you can go under the "products options" tab where you'll find a section of the interface with all the options relative to the price display, even with the Starter edition of HikaShop.

It is a shame for me that I can't succeed.
I found the described part in the menu
Menu / Product listing / Product options /
and there is the "Product data display" where I could change the price can be showed to no - I changed it, Saved it, But still see the price.
Found the same option in the Category listing/ Product options / Product data display - changed it to no too. But still see the price.

Hi,

It seems that you're saying that you've edited the settings of the menu item with the title "product listing".
However, on these links it's the menu item with the title "Webshop" which is used. So you need to edit the settings of that menu item, not the "product listing" one.

Yes. Works.
Thank you.
I was dumb enough to modify the hikashop default menus.

Thank you one more time.
