Hello,

after testing a few webshops we decided to use hikashop to sell collectables.
our collectables a purchesed on markets and sold using the shop, due to tax regulation in the Netherlands i have to pay tax over the difference between the purchaseprice and the sellingprice (margin tax) to make it more difficult the tax rate on books are 6% and common collectables 19 % (to be raised to 21 %)

i would like to know if it is possible to enter the purchaseprice and the sellingprice in hikashop (inventorymanagement) where the selling price is visible to the customer (including the tax rate)

i would like to thank you in advance.

Hi war relics,

If I understand well, the purchaseprice is the sellingprice with tax.
In HikaShop you can configure many different tax rates, and for each products, you can choose the tax category of the product.
Depending of its category, you can set the purchaseprice or the sellingprice, and the other price will be calculated automatically.

On the front-end you can choose to display the price without tax, with tax or both.
And in the back-end you can see both prices.

You can see some documentation about taxes here:

I guess i explained my problem wrong.

I buy items end resel them, lets say i buy a book for 70 euro and resel it for 80. i have to pay tax over the 10 euro profit (margin profit)
the best would be for me to enter both prices in hikashop, a field to enter the 70 euro and a field to enter the 80 euro.

Ok I understand what your need.

You can create custom fields in HikaShop > Display > Custom Fields.
And create fields in the table product. One field could be called "bought price" and the other one "resel price".

By this way, when you create a product, you can define this two prices.
The default configuration hide these fields in the front-end.

I hope this answer your question.

Yes, no problem. You can install the Business edition and it will upgrade your HikaShop while keeping all your data.
