Hi, loving this product and came across first curly issue that I cannot seem to nut out.

I am working locally on dev site so cannot provide a link so I will try to explain best I can.

I am using a menu system and if I click on CAT-1, it displays the products of the CAT-1 category. I have added some extra information via a Custom HTML module relating to that category that displays in a module position below the page content only for that menu item.

BUT... if I go to CAT-1 via the top category in the shop (not via the menu), it does not show the Custom HTML module below the content.

Having read the docs and searched through the threads, I thought 'Syncronise with menu, in the Hika Module, might have solved that, but I am guessing that is not what it is for.

Any clues on this one would be GREATLY appreciate!

PS: I am guessing I might be able to do once site is live and I have sh404sef turned on and I can custom the URL of both to be the same (???).

Would love to get this to work.

You say it yourself:

I have added some extra information via a Custom HTML module relating to that category that displays in a module position below the page content only for that menu item.

The top menu is a different menu item. Thus, that module is not displayed on it. And all links in that menu item use the same menu item, so what you have is normal.

Why not do it differently ?
Instead of your module, add your text in the description of the category. Then, in all your menus' hikashop options, turn on the "show description" option and you will see the text for that category, regardless on which menu you are.

Hi nicolas, thanks for your reply.

Probably didn't explain it too well.

I am using the description section, but wanted to add some content (specific to that category) that is displayed below the category section. - works when I access that page via the menu, but not if I access that page via navigating through the category.

Eg, menu structure mirrors the category structure as in:

Hukishop-Home > Photography > Outback > Lightning-Ridge

I will have a working 'live' example in a day or so which will illustrate it better.

Yes, I think I understood what you wanted to do.

But you can't do it with a module as I explained in my previous message.

The proposition I gave sounds like a better option for your case.

Hi nicolas,

Have been playing (best way to learn).

I think I will go without a menu system (it is creating duplicate url's) and just have it driven from the structure of the image gallery (which is what I am using it for).

Another day or so and I can post a link.

ok... I found a way :)

There is an extension called 'Advanced Module Manager' you can get from the JED.

This enables you to assign a module (in this case 'Custom HTML') to display according to article ID and not menu (as is normally the case.

SO in the following example, I can include a description for the category at the top, as well as extended information at the bottom of the page.

Lumieres - Lightning Ridge Gallery

I hope that may be of use to others who may want the added functionality.
