Move the address field on registration page

Hi,

I would really like to have the following checkout sequence:

  1. Login/email address register
  2. Enter registered address
  3. Enter billing address (or auto-select registered address)
  4. Pay

Right now the registration process means adding an address in stage one; I'd like to slide that back one page. I believe that an easier registration page (even if it is only half the required data) might stimulate registering. Can I split this registering part? If not, can I add some <br /> tags somewhere to at least push it down a couple of lines.

Additionally, how can I bold out and change the font size on the 'Address Information' title (and Billing Address and Payment Method)? I need it to stand out more. I have scoured the CSS but don't see it being styled.

I have added an attachment to this post. Thanks for helping out,
Luke

Hi lukehold,

It's not possible to split the registering part, but you can add space between the two parts.
In HikaShop > Configuration > Display, edit the frontend css file and try to add this properties:

.hikashop_registration_address_info_line td{
font-weight: bold !important;
padding-top: 50px !important;
}

.hikashop_checkout_address_left_part legend .hikashop_checkout_address_right_part legend{
font-weight: bold !important;
}

Lukehold, how did you setup your registrtation page so that it does not ask for a name for the Joomla account? i.e. just the email and password?

My hikashop registrtaion page asks for name, username, email and password.

Hey, that was something I did elsewhere. I hope the forum doesn't mind me posting exxternal links here:

Yep, it makes life easier for users to register. No more multiple things to remember.

Ah cool. So that removes the username. Is that how you removed the standard "name" field too?

Hey, I think that was resolved after I set Hikashop options to 'simplified registration with password' in the hikashop/system/checkout menu.

I didn't turn off custom fields as they are for the account creation I believe, rather than the registration bit. Nicholas can confirm this.
