Hi there,

I'm having real difficulty figuring out why the category links in a category listing arn't taking the user to a product listing for the selcted category.

How do you link a product listing module/menu to a a category link in a category listing? at the moment it's changing page, but not displaying any products.

For example, heres a category listing: claycellar.org/index.php/glazes

Hi,

It's probably because of the way you configured the hikashop options of the category listing menu or its products listing associated module.
Could you do a screenshot of both hikashop options screens via the menus Display>Content menus/modules.

You added the CSS:
#hikashop_category_information_menu_494 .hikashop_submodules, #hikashop_category_information_menu_496 .hikashop_submodules {
display: none;
}

in the file claycellar.org/templates/claycellar/css/template.css

That CSS hides the products listing on your menus. Remove it and it will work.

Thanks for the response. I've looked into this now and I remember why I added this CSS. I wanted to remove the filters and titles from below the category listing because all I'm after is a simple set of links in a grid format to the products listing page for each sub category. I think category listings are really meant to be something a little more complex than this?

Is there any easy way to get a page that simply lists the subcategories with links to the relavent products listing? I don't want it to show any products but just the sub categories in a grid with the parent-category title/description/image above.

Yes, that's actually the case.
You see the product "Autumn (Welte)" at the bottom of the category listing because that product is attached to your main category. Remove that and it won't display products there.

Then, if you don't want to see the filters at the bottom of the category listing page but you still want them on the products listing page, you should update HikaShop as now HikaShop hides the filters when their are no products displayed.
