change the wording of error message or workaround?

Hello,

I have Hikashop Essential and whenever someone adds a product to the cart I get the blue message, "The cart items combined weight is too big for all the possible shipping methods" (see attached screenshot)and that is because they haven't entered the address to receive the automated UPS plugin prices. I don't know how to get rid of that warning. Is it possible to just change the warning to say something like, "please register and enter address to receive shipping options"

I hate that I have to do that way, but I can't figure out how to get around it without that warning popping up. I thought I could change the order of checkoutin the backend, but nothing happens when I do that. If anyone can tell me I would appreciate it.

Yes, you have to change the checkout workflow in your backend.

You need a workflow with two steps: one for login - address and another one the the rest of your checkout.
Something like this:

login_address,shipping_payment_coupon_cart_status_fields_confirm,end
