Sub Category Layout

Hi

I've setup my shop front, (category view), to display in 5 columns, so 5 category boxes in 1 row equally spaced.

Some of the categories have sub categories and when you click on the parent category the sub categories display in just 1 column, so 1 sub category box in each row.

How can I setup and configure the sub category display to match that of the parent category display?

Using Firebug I've noticed that the CSS for the sub categories refer to the following:

<div id="hikashop_category_information_menu_101" class="hikashop_category_information hikashop_categories_listing_main">

But I can't find anything for or referring to 'category information menu 101' to configure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Theoretically the sub categories should use the same display. However try to go to the menu listing (Display>Content menus) and find the menu with the id 101.
This menu is the one used to display your sub-categories so you should be able to display them in the way you want.

Hi Eliot

Thanks for your reply.

I thought that but there are no menu items with id 101 under (Display>Content menus).

Many thanks.

Could you make me a screenshot of your menu listing?
The number 101 may be found in the ID column on the right.

Hi Eliot

Here's the screen shot. No 101 ID.

Hi Eliot

Is that a link to the sub category layout page?

Take a look at you modules, I can see that the main category listing is a module.
Could you send me a screenshot of this module's parametre?

I see the problem, you associated "Home" to the menu option in your module, that's why your sub-categories aren't loaded well. This menu isn't a Hikashop menu so no parametres are setted.
There are two solutions to your problem:

-Choose another menu to associated (an Hikashop one that you will be able to parametre as you want)
-Change the default parametres for module display in the main configuration of Hikashop. These parametres are the one loaded when no parametres are found. You can do this in Configuration>Display>Modules main default options

Hi Eliot

Many thanks for this.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what you mean.

Regards the default settings for module display, i've attached a screen shot.

Sorry for my mistake, it can't work since it's the module option and you are using a menu.
In this case the solution is to create a new hikashop menu (Display>content menu) with the parametres you want and set it in your module instead of "Home" (bottom left of the module configuration).
