Hi author,

Thanks for your time.

I want to get a tip / solution to solve the below given requirement.

Product A "From category A" and Product B "From category B"

If a user purchased two "A" Products from the category "A", Then we have to offer a discount on Product "B" from the category "B", How is it possible in HIKASHOP.

:(

Hi,

I think that you can do it by :

- Creating a category with discounted products
- Creating a discount with this category as a restriction and then set a percentage.

ps: Discount restriction are only available for commercial version of Hikashop.

Thanks for your time and reply,

But im having starter version, Is there any possibilities to implement in this version.

Or there any way for writing custom plugins? It will be grateful if guided.

Thanks,

You can always do it in the free version if you add custom code here and there, but if you're not a coder, it will be cheaper to just buy the Business edition than to hire a developer which would do it for you...

Hi Mohamed,

Can you please explain this discount/category 'thing' a little deeper? I think this is what I also need, only I don't understand category as a restriction. I have the Enterprise version.

What I need: If a customer puts product A in the cart and decides to also add product A', they get x percent discount on the total.

If they put product B in the cart and add product A' in the cart too, the discount does not apply.

So in fact, two products A and A' are related to each other. They somehow belong together. Buy one of them independently, they pay the full price. Buy both of them at the same time, they get the discount.

Is this possible with the discount/category solution?

Kind regards,
Maurice

Hi,

You have to use the coupons, in Order > Discounts create a new one with the type "coupon" and in the options you can set the minimum number of products.
Set 2 for this option, and limit the coupon to a category, the category where your two products A & A' are.

Hi Xavier,

Does this mean when someone puts product A and A' in the cart, they also have to enter a coupon code?
Because I don't want people to have entering a code. Can this be done automatically?

When I have 1500 product and 1500 related products, does it mean I have to create 1500 product groups?

Kind regards,
Maurice

When you create the coupon, you can use the option "Auto load in cart if possible".
By this way the coupon will be auto loaded, and the discount applied when arriving on the checkout.

The problem is that you can load only one coupon.
If you need that feature with discounts, it will require a custom plugin.
