product thumbnail size

Hi,

i would like to know how your component works regarding products thumbnail size.
if i already have an image attached to a product with a previous setting for thumbnails (let say 100x80px) and now i set thumbnail size to 200x160px. WIll previously product images resized to new thumbnail size or no ?
if no, it means that thumbnail size is used to store a reduced size of product image into DB/filesstem.... which is from my point of view, not so flexible.

Since resizing an image to bigger dimension deteriorate the quality of this image, we prefer to avoid that kind of thumbnail.
That's why Hikashop is just using the original image when you specify larger dimensions.
The best way to deal with thumbnail is to upload big and well defined images then use Hikashop to resize them as you want. Plus in this case, when you click on the image thumbnail, the original image will be displayed, giving more details.
