Buy 5, pay for 4

I have searched on this topic and found a few answers on how to do it but not really the way I want to do it.

Problem is that the items have different prices, the customer can choose five different items (each with a different price) but since they buy 5 items they only have to pay for 4.

Is there a way to find the lowest price of the items and then reduce the total with that items price?

It will be even more complicated if the customer adds other products to the cart that are not involved in this deal :S

Hello Jan,

You should maybe restrict your coupon to a smaller group of item through the "product" option of your coupon configuration page, and then set the coupon value to the lowest product's price.

PS: Discounts restrictions are available in commercial version of Hikashop.

Hope this will help you.

I don't see a way to have the discount to be the amount of the cheapest product in the group of products of the category restriction of the coupon.
Maybe AWOCoupon might be able to do that ?
Otherwise, I don't see an easy solution.

Can we have this function as a request for future versions?

It is a common way of giving dicounts.

I don't see an easy way to add that to the coupon system in HikaShop.
However, as a additional plugin, we have added some interesting triggers which should allow someone to develop a plugin to do that quite easily.
So as a custom plugin that would be something totally possible.
